Benchmark Comparison Reports – Five-Year History : A comparison of various institutional data with EKU benchmark institutions and Kentucky Public Universities. Topics covered include: enrollment, retention, completions, average test scores, tuition and fees, financial aid, and faculty salaries.
Cooperative Institutional Research Project (CIRP) : Freshman and transfers are asked to complete the CIRP Freshman Survey. The survey assesses
basic demographic characteristics, expectations of the college experience, secondary school experiences, degree goals and career plans, college
finances, attitudes, values, life goals, and reasons for attending college. The Division of Student Affairs at EKU has been administering the CIRP Survey each Fall semester since
2003.
The Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange (CSRDE): The consortium
is a program coordinated by the University of Oklahoma Center for Institutional Data Exchange and Analysis.
The annual Retention Peer Report provides EKU comparable retention and graduation data to its benchmark institutions.(coming
soon!)
Undergraduate Degree Candidate Survey (GSS): As part of the application process for graduation each semester, the
GSS is completed by all eligible undergraduate students. This survey seeks feedback regarding undergraduate student experiences at EKU.
Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS): IPEDS was established as the core postsecondary education data collection program for NCES, is a system of surveys designed to collect data from all primary providers of postsecondary education. IPEDS is a single, comprehensive system designed to encompass all institutions and educational organizations whose primary purpose is to provide postsecondary education. The IPEDS system is built around a series of interrelated surveys to collect institution-level data in such areas as enrollments, program completions, faculty, staff, and finances.
National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE): The National Survey of Student Engagement or NSSE was designed to assess the extent
to which students are engaged in empirically derived good educational practices and what they gain from their college experiences. In this it
differs from many other surveys that are more oriented to student satisfaction than to specific educational outcomes. The NSSE is administered
to a sample of second semester freshman and exiting seniors. NSSE was administered at EKU each spring semester from 2000 to 2003, since 2003 it has
been administered every other spring semester to a sample of second semester freshman and exiting seniors. More than 430,000 students at 730
different institutions participate in NSSE each year.
Service Learning Survey: A survey designed to assess the extent to which faculty use civic engagement and service learning as
a tool in their course curriculums (administered in Spring 2006)
Tobacco Use Policy Surveys: The EKU Smoke-Free Zone Task Force was given the charge to develop recommendations for a university-wide
Smoke-Free Zone Policy. To carry out this task, two surveys were distributed to EKU faculty, staff, and students: 1) A Tobacco Policy Survey
requesting data and input regarding the formulation of a policy; and 2) The Tobacco Use Policy Support Survey requesting feedback regarding the
proposed Tobacco Use Policy.
Survey of Bachelor Degree Alumni 2005-2006: The Bachelor's Degree Alumni
Survey is distributed every other year to those who completed a bachelor's degree either two or five years prior to the survey year, in order
to collect longitudinal data on academic and career preparation.

Retention
& Attrition Analysis 2003-04 to 2007-08: Report that compares trends
of applied, admitted and enrolled students. Includes an analysis of changes
in data related to matriculation, retention, residency, higher school GPA
and ACT scores.
